| Here is the thing about the steering wheel...
If you really like career mode , and you really like it to be hard so that your Lotus is not winning every race and you are fighting the car to score points..
you will love the steering wheel , stick it on cockpit view and its feels real , the wheel makes it very smooth and does feel like your driving the car
wheels works really well with this game.
But I reckon it will take a long time to get up to pace against using the pad.
I will use another profile for the wheel and start a career that way , make it realistic as possible but when im racing you guys the pad is so much quicker for me at the moment
I recommend the wheel to anyone who really wants a 100% simulator kind of game...
I do , but I also like it to be easier at times hence I will continue to use my pad for my main career.

| I have had the wheel for some time, used it with forza. Have tried the wheel with the F1 game and have come to the following conclusions.
The wheel is deffinatly more realistic and works extremely well. BUT; I would say use it for your career mode only as it feels totaly different from the pad. You have to think about cornering and gear changing a lot more before you reach the corner because of the reaction times you have to make; ie feet on pedals, flappy padels gear changing; linging up the corner and turning the wheel with ( forced feedback which is adjustable )
The Pad; I think is ideal for on line play, as you know requires just your left thumb and trigger fingers right thumb for the gears so the reaction time is almost instantaneous, so you can negotiate the corner nearer and quicker.
I have decided with the testing of both to use the pad only. | |

| Maybe I should give it a bit more of a chance then. I agree it is so much more realistic and smoother, i will use it in career mode though. | |

| I think if you guys are doing a career with just the wheel then by rights by next season you should be ready for online with it | |

| Yeah u would give the one Mikey is looking at 3/10 , the MS wheel 6/10 and the Fanatec 10/10 , that is how much better it is .... BUT Mikeys is 30/40 quid , the MS 70 and the fanatec 300 ... so each has its place and does it well for the price... | |
